PARKS!

Parks; well they bring back so many fond memories from childhood- swings🌳, karate sessions🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻, flowers🌺, & the mosquitoes 🦟 (not to forget😢). And today, parks seem like a good place to burn those extra calories, or maybe just relax and take that fresh and brisk air in.

Here are a few observations that I made the past couple of months (when I actually had a routine 🤦🏻‍♀️), which I believe are highly relatable, real and maybe funny too.

~The thing about going on walks is that it is usually just about getting my lazy ass off the bed, because once I hit the walking track I see way too many dedicated people walking around, people of all ages- there is hardly any lack of motivation then.🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

~If you somehow manage to form a routine, I’m sure you’d noticed the same few people everyday. Some of whom are identifiable solely from the strong scents and perfumes they apply😄😄. It feels like a small community.😍

~As I walk around, I often find the elderly, murmuring their favourite tunes and melodies from that era🎶, and this one person I notice in particular, is always saying the Hanuman Chalisa🙏🏻 out loud. If you’re lucky enough, you might even get to hear them singing aloud as well!
And they are actually really melodious!😍🥰
I just need that amount of confidence and carefree attitude in life ….. hahaha🤪

~After the routine walk, and a few exercises, I find my way to a bench in the shade where I would be fairly undisturbed.
And then my favourite thing to do is; close my eyes and feel my muscles popping in and out and just calming down… almost feels like meditation.🧘🏻‍♀️
Here in the silence, I love identifying five different sounds around me- the chirping of birds 🐦 , the sound of the leaves 🍃 rustling in the breeze, groups of people carrying out their laughing exercises😂, the children playing, among others.

~And then I wait for my favourite part, watching the sun setting in between the trees and feeling the vibe of the golden hour🌅. The flowers look even beautiful at this moment.

~Having said all of the above, there is the other undeniable side of visiting public parks.
You are bound to come across random creeps doing their thing, people staring at you for nothing, and then the dogs ( I am just so scared of them🥺🥺)- all of which is certainly a huge distraction in your daily struggle of keeping up with your fitness routine.

I think a lot of you can relate to this. Tell me if you noticed something else!!!!? Keep Exercising (which is more of a note for myself 🤪🤣)
Love.❤️
